Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)
A plain-English summary of how Yaylo handles children's data. Our full legal privacy policy is available at /privacy.
Parent-directed by design
Yaylo is designed to be operated by a parent or guardian. Only a verified adult can create a family circle, add a child profile, approve missions, and manage rewards. Children do not sign up on their own.
What we collect about children
- Only what a parent provides: nickname, age band, and avatar choice.
- No child email address or phone number.
- Activity within Yaylo (missions completed, stars earned) so the app can function.
- No advertising identifiers and no cross-site tracking of children.
What we never do
- No ads shown to children.
- No public profiles, no social feed, and no chat with people outside the family circle.
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
Schools
When a school sponsors families, the school only sees aggregate, anonymized engagement — never data about an individual child. Parents remain the decision-makers for their child's account. See our Schools DPA for details.
Your rights
Parents can review, correct, or delete their child's information at any time from account settings, or by contacting us. To make a request or ask a question, contact us or read the full privacy policy.
This page is maintained by Yaylo to answer common questions about our product. It is not an independent certification.
